Wrought Iron Gate Restoration

Victory Sports Ground Gates, Southend-on-Sea From a distance these 90 year old gates still look magnificent. But take a closer look and you’ll see the years have not been kind. That’s why Southend Council asked us to refurbish and repaint them: restoring them to their 1920s glory days.

Work included making and fitting a new journal and pin so the gates would open and closed correctly, making and fitting a new lockbox, altering the drop bolt so it worked correctly, making and fitting a new curved section for the top of the gate to replace the damaged original, fitting a new fencepost rail and making and fitting a new leaf to replace one that was missing.
