Cast Iron Ornamental Gates & Railings Repairs
Darwin Centre Entrance, Natural History Museum, Kensington, London SW7
When the museum made a new entrance road to the Darwin Centre, they asked us to alter the railings and manufacture ornamental gates in cast iron and mild steel, in keeping with others at the museum.
We made patterns, cast up the new decorative gate and railing sections in iron, welded them together with mild steel members and supplied new mild steel hinges, phosphorous bronze bushes and mild steel journals. We also altered two cast iron railing sections to suit the new gates.
